SELF-RELIANCE RESOURCEFULNESS THE WILL TO ACHIEVE SERVICE TO OTHERS

Expeditions

Roaring Brook expeditions are unique and varied. All 4/6 week campers go on trips. Canoe and backpacking trips are planned to permit boys to return for years without repeating the routes they take, making for the most extensive trip program for boys ages 9-16 in New England.

Backpacking in the High Country

The Roaring Brook Backpacking Trip Program includes mountains in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Boys participate in the selection of routes and campsites while assisting in group goal setting. Boys are responsible for sharing the load, but not for carrying more than one third of their body weight. Campers are grouped for these trips by age and hiking ability.
